Vertix led the transportation planning masterplan for a significant new development in Qingdao, China. The development can be considered as a new city centre and comprises an educational district, hotels and resorts, retail malls, a convention centre and financial district.

Vertix were responsible for designing a transport network that integrated with existing infrastructure to service this proposed centre. This included planning of transport interchange linking MRT lines with a major bus terminal, light rail, and private car parking for in excess of 20,000 vehicles.
