TRAFFIC DIVERSION PLANNING

Traffic Diversion Plans

Traffic diversions are required for any construction activity that impacts an entire public or private roadway. For larger scale projects, diversions can be extensive and run for many kilometres. Vertix has in-house construction experts that fully understand how construction activities impact traffic and the roadway network. Our experts have worked on the contractor side and understand how to develop and plan efficient traffic diversions. Our goal is to help the contractor minimize the number of diversions required to complete the works.

Vertix can support the Contractor to develop and submit traffic diversion schemes for the stages of work. Our activities include:

  • Conceptualization: Vertix will work with the designer to develop the concepts for the diversion schemes for each anticipated construction stage.
  • Design: Design and detailed Traffic Diversion Scheme/Plan for Proposed Construction method (Road markings, Signs and road geometry)
  • Checklist: Vertix will submit Checklist for all traffic diversion plans
  • Cross Section Drawings: Vertix will produce cross section drawings as required
  • Swept path analysis: LTA Traffic Management frequently requires swept paths to be conducted on proposed diversion schemes to ensure it is suitable for all vehicle types. Vertix will conduct these as needed.
